CVTV’10

Over 70 organisations Celebrated Victory Through Volunteerism in 2010

On December 16, let us commemorate the spirit of CVTV the freedom fighters with actions and not just with hollow words and songs. Let us commemorate their actions with at least one voluntary act of community service. On December 16, we celebrate our victory over oppression and dictatorship. On this day in 1971, the nine month struggle of our freedom fighters paid off – we were free!

Celebration Through Voluntarism

Today, in the 21st century, we are a sovereign nation no longer threatened by oppressors. However, we live under the oppression and dictatorship of poverty, illiteracy and corruption. It’s time for the men and women of this era to take a stand and fight for a better life.

The freedom fighters voluntarily did what was most needed for the country at that time. It is time we voluntarily do what is most needed for the country at this time.

On December 16, let us commemorate the spirit of the freedom fighters with actions and not just with hollow words and songs. Let us commemorate their actions with at least one voluntary act of community service.

Small acts of charity from organisations, corporations, schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, shops, media outlets etc all over Bangladesh will give rise to a new liberation movement. It will give us victory over the many difficulties we face today.

All participating organisations are working independently, only ensuring that the theme of ‘doing community service’ remains the same and they are all united under one banner:

“সেবার মাধ্যমে বিজয়ের প্রকাশ”

In 2009, over 40 organizations participated in the campaign! In 2010, over 70 organizations celebrated the day with selfless work!
