Eid For Every One

Eid for Everyone is a project of CommunityAction to help the under privileged children touch the merriments of the biggest festival Eid. In a bid to accomplish the objective, over last two years CA has been advanced with simple but change making steps. Numbers of volunteers have participated and around three thousand children have shared fiesta smile with newer cheeriness.
Among the undertakings of the project ‘Action: Hambaaaaa’, ‘Action: See with Us’ & ‘Action: Mehndi Magic’ are the most wonderful and novel with jovial participation of the volunteers pioneering smiles in the faces!
In ‘Action: Hambaaaaa’ the volunteers raise fund for buying a cow for an orphanage and collect all other necessary materials to share joy of taking meat during Holy Eid.

‘See with Us’ is another endeavour of the volunteers who, on Eid day or after Eid, share happy moments with the blind children and offer them sweet-smelling gifts so that without eyes they can have the color and fragrance of jollity.

‘Mehndi Magic’ -It could be mentioned that during 2010, CA arranged an afternoon of delight for the visually impaired young girls at Baptist Mission’s school for the blind. 5 Actioneers had a post-Eid party with a 100 blind girls. The Actioneers( CA members and volunteers) cooked for them all morning and went there with chocolates and other gifts. The two other ‘action’ also touched every heart! The joy of celebration encompasses every participants and gave new outlook of celebration crossing the boundary of class and cast and brought a thousand splendid smiles.

These awe-inspiring steps could be taken by anyone and anywhere. Now CA is looking forward to broaden the horizon and welcoming participation of all. The process needs cooperation and support and your joined hand will be the biggest support for revealing smiles!
